CONTRIBUTORY PROJECTS

There are many satellite-based fire monitoring projects worldwide that contribute to the GOFC/GOLD-Fire program goals in a number of different areas. These projects often produce fire products at local, regional or global scale. Some of them are operational at the national level and have implications for regional and global implementation. Some are experimental and could be transitioned to the operational domain. Among the main objectives of GOFC/GOLD-Fire are to help to bridge the gap between the producers of the products and the user community and to facilitate the transition of the experimental systems into operations.

Below is a list of the various projects and activities in alphabetical order, with links to individual websites or documents available. Some of them are formal pilot projects of GOFC/GOLD-Fire, whereas with some others formal links still need to be established.

Please email us your suggestion for projects to be listed.
